How to Edit Wikipedia Workshop - 17 November, Edinburgh
NHSF and Wikipedia UK will be holding their next, free how-to workshop on Wikipedia contributions on the 17 November 2017 in Edinburgh.
Since its creation in 2001, Wikipedia has become a valuable source of open knowledge. Created and edited by volunteers, Wikipedia's content is reliant on accurate contributions from many different fields. Come along to a free NHSF/Wikimedia workshop to learn how to edit content on Wikipedia, and help make heritage science more visible!
The afternoon workshop will take place at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh from 2.30 to 5 pm. Trainers from Wikimedia UK will be teaching how to create and edit pages and provide follow-up resources. The session aims to give attendees the skills and confidence to contribute and add their knowledge to Wikipedia, in order to enhance the heritage science content on the platform.
The event is free and aimed at beginners - participants are requested to bring their own laptops. Attendance is limited to 15 places - book now to avoid disappointment.
This is a repeat of an event run in Cambridge earlier this year - see a summy of the previous workshop here.
