New NHSF Blog Series: Climate Change and Cultural Heritage
Have a look at our new series of three blog posts all about cultural heritage and climate change. Hear from experts at the National Trust, Historic England and the University of Oxford.
Early in 2024, the NHSF hosted a Climate Emergency 'Deep Dive' event. At this one-day event, people from different communities of interest discussed the state of the challenge in 2024, the work that the heritage science sector is already doing to address the climate emergency, and gaps to be addressed by future research.
Following on from this, the NHSF has published a new series of blog posts, which gives an accessible insight into some of the topics discussed during this conference:
- The Resilience of Soft Capping in the UK & Ireland: How will nature-based solutions respond to future climates? by Dr Jenny Richards, University of Oxford
- Climate Change Adaptation in a Heritage Context by Kate Guest, Historic England
- Climate Change Adaptation and Heritage at the National Trust by Imogen Wood, National Trust
