New Societal Challenge Case Study

We have recently uploaded a new societal challenge case study to the NHSF website.

It reports on work carried out by the UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage on behalf of English Heritage to study the impact of climate change on the historic environment.

View the case study here.

The NHSF Research Working Group has identified five societal grand challenges to inspire and encourage connections between heritage science research and five issues of importance to society: sustainable development, climate emergency, improved wellbeing, equality and inclusivity, and digital society.

We are always keen to hear more examples of how heritage science research and practice is addressing these challenges. We have a template for submitting short case studies on our website, which you can find here.
