NHSF Announces New Chair
The NHSF appointed a new Chair on 24 January 2024.
At the NHSF's 11th AGM on 24 January 2024, Member Organisations voted to appoint Professor Chris Gaffney as the next Chair of NHSF.
Prof Gaffney thanked members for their support and spoke of the special value of institutions coming together to address challenges and opportunities in a way that isn’t always possible as individual organisations. He highlighted diversity and reaching a wide audience as future focus areas for the Forum, and he looks forward to working with members and trustees over his three-year term.
Trustees and members thanked Prof Nigel Llewellyn for his contribution to the Forum since he took up the role of Chair in 2019. He has guided the organisation through the COVID-19 pandemic and ensured it has remained responsive to its members needs during a period of much change. His leadership during the Forum’s input to the development of the Research Infrastructure for Conservation and Heritage Science has been of particular value. Thank you, Nigel.
