Seminar: Does experiencing heritage and culture improve well-being?
A free early-evening seminar on the 12 September 2017 in which a panel of guest speakers and the audience are invited to explore the evidence needed to inform the debate around the contribution of heritage to improving health and well-being and the role that heritage science can play.
The contribution of arts and culture to health and wellbeing has received considerable attention over the last ten years from researchers, funders and, more recently, government.
This event is offered by the National Heritage Science Forum, as part of a series aimed at sharing the 'state of the art' of topics of relevance to academic, higher education and heritage sectors to provoke reflection, encourage debate and stimulate collaboration. This topic considers the contribution of heritage science to research questions addressing social and economic value.
